Mental Health Promotion Fund

Organisations and groups that support and help people manage their mental health and wellbeing are being invited to bid for a share of the community funding.

Funding comes from the Mental Health Promotion Fund, which was established by Lincolnshire County Council and is managed by Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LPFT).

The fund aims to help adults who have experienced mental health problems to participate in a wide range of activities to help them recover and maintain as good a quality of life as possible.

Grants of up to £25,000 are open for application. This year we have three priorities which link to the work undertaken by Neighbourhood Teams:

  • Physical activity to benefit mental health
  • Mental health advocacy support
  • Development of befriending networks

Your project is not required to meet one or more of these priorities to be considered for funding, however, applications that do meet the priorities could be scored more positively.

Successful applicants will become part of Lincolnshire’s innovative Managed Care Network, a collection of community groups that offer support through various activities to help people recovering from mental ill health, or living with dementia.

The deadline for applications is 5pm Thursday 13 June 2019.

If you have any queries on the application process please contact the Community Partnerships Team on 01529 222245 or email

Details about all of the other activities and groups are available from or by following the hashtag #LincsMHnetwork on Twitter and Facebook.
