How we can help

Print Friendly and PDF

Many people experience common mental health problems at some point in their life. Life changing events such as the loss of a loved one, loss of employment, or even just everyday life stress can lead to difficulties and you may need to seek help and support. Common mental health problems such as mild depression, anxiety, stress, panic, eating problems and loss of sleep make it difficult for us to cope with life’s daily demands.

It is estimated that one in four of the adult population will suffer from conditions such as anxiety and depression at some point in their lives. Our services are designed to offer talking therapies for these different difficulties.

Is steps2change for me?

At times, it is completely normal to feel anxious, low, sad, overwhelmed and frustrated. For some people these feelings can persist and have a negative impact on their life, sometimes leading to a common mental health problem such as depression or anxiety.

If you feel that you may be experiencing a common mental health problem, it is important to seek the right help sooner than later. Here at steps2change we are committed to help you with your needs. This section of our webpage should give you an idea of what we offer and how we can help you.

All of our therapies are recommended by National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). NICE recommends that therapy services should provide the least intrusive, most effective intervention first. steps2change therefore works to a stepped care model and you will usually be offered a Step 2 intervention in the first instance.
