Information for carers

Do you look after a relative or friend who could not manage without your support? You are a carer and may wish to talk to us about your caring situation. You may not see yourself as a carer and may be unaware of the support services which can help.

We acknowledge the role carers carry out for people experiencing common mental health issues. This can be in important for reaching your therapy goals. Please let us know during your assessment if you consider yourself to be a carer.

Lincolnshire mental health services work in partnership with Carers FIRST. Carers FIRST is a charity that provides support for carers through emotional and practical support and guidance. It offers carers assessments, training, events, social groups, short break respite, activities, trips and more.

The Lincolnshire Recovery College offers free educational courses about mental health, recovery, and wellbeing.  The College is open to anyone who is age 16+ and lives, works or studies in Lincolnshire.
