Information for carers

Print Friendly and PDF

Do you look after a relative or friend who could not manage without your support?  Then you are a carer and you may wish to talk to us about your caring situation. You may not see yourself as a carer and may be unaware of the range of support services that can help you in your caring role.

Read more about carer support and carer assessments on the LPFT website.

We acknowledge the role carers carry out for people experiencing common mental health issues and how valuable this can be in reaching your therapy goals. Please let us know during your assessment if you consider yourself to be a carer.

Lincolnshire mental health services work in partnership with Carers FIRST, a charity that provides support for carers through emotional and practical support, advice, information, guidance and offer carers assessments, training, events, social groups, short break respite, activities trips and more.

For more information please visit Carers FIRST website.

The Lincolnshire Recovery College offers free educational courses about mental health, recovery, and wellbeing.  The College is open to anyone who is age 16+ and lives, works or studies in Lincolnshire.

Courses and workshops for carers are available. Find out more about Lincolnshire Recovery College courses and sign up on our website.
