Our ADHD Treatment Team includes:

  • Psychiatrists
  • Nurses
  • Support Workers
  • Psychologists

who work together with Young Minds Matter's Clinicians to deliver the young people the best support available for their physical and mental health wellbeing.

The following are the clinicians you are likely to see or speak to when attending an appointment or making contact with the service.

Gaz is our Children's Nurse. Prior to working with Young Minds Matter, he trained at Queens Medical Centre Childrens Hospital, Nottingham, and worked at the Women and Children's Department, Ward 25, at Kings Mill Hospital in Mansfield. His interests have involved  cranio-spinal tumours in children and the long term effects of the neurodevelopment of children as a result of illness and treatment.

Since moving to Young Minds Matter, he has delivered CBT and DBT informed therapies to help with feelings, anxiety, low mood and disregulation.

Since April 2021 Gaz has been the ADHD Lead Nurse and is responsible for the review and prescription of the medications that can help ADHD.

Lauren is one of our Support Workers who you may see to take your young person's blood pressure, height and weight.

Lauren can also provide CBT informed sessions and Meriden Family Programme Support. She co-works cases involving anxiety and engagement.

Lauren has a background working with young people with complex behavioural and neurodevelopmental needs such as ADHD and Autism within educational settings.

Anna is one of our Support Workers who you may see to take your young person's blood pressure, height and weight.

Anna can also provide Meriden Family Programme Support and offers sessions with the young people in our service for mindfulness, engagement and general fun.

Anna has a background in education having worked as a 1:1 support in primary and secondary education settings for young people with complex and neurodevelopmental needs, also having worked within specialist education settings.

Julie is our medical secretary.

She works with the Psychiatrist and the ADHD Treatment Team and helps to keep our team informed on developments in the care of our service's families.

Julie is usually the first member of our team to make contact with a young person and when you phone into the service it's probably Julie who has helped with your query.
