Our Lincoln Children and Young People Support Team were shortlisted for the category “Peer Support Services” and recognised as ‘Highly Commended” at the National Awards 'Positive Practice Mental Health Awards’ on the 7th October, held in London..

The team were nominated in recognition of the growth and expansion of peer support across our range of Children and Young People’s (CYP) Services, including the introduction of parent/carer peer support workers. Peer Support Workers are dedicated to improving patient experience through being able to ‘follow’ and support a young person or parent/carer across internal transitions in CYP services, whilst also having a key role in supporting young people’s transition out of services by engaging them in a co-produced CYP Wellness plans (‘Resilience and Wellness’ Plan).
