A Care, Education and Treatment Review should be offered for children and young people up to the age of 18 who are either facing potential admission to a specialist learning disability unit and/or are already in an inpatient unit. The aim is to either to seek alternatives to hospital admission, or to support and help plan discharge from the unit.
