People are central to everything we do and it’s vital we continue to develop and nurture a compassionate, collective and inclusive culture that is lived and demonstrated by everyone in the Trust.
We understand the importance of supporting staff at every level to demonstrate the Trust values at work every day and as a result continue to offer a variety of development opportunities for colleagues to access.
This is supported through a robust Management Supervision and Appraisal process where colleagues and managers work collaboratively to identify development needs.

A blended approach to delivery of training is used where at all possible through a mix of virtual and face to face offers and through a mix of full programmes and bite size learning opportunities.

Support for new managers with a manager induction programme.

Values based leadership series – fundamental masterclasses focused on topics such as: Leading with emotional intelligence, coaching skills, holding honest conversations, leading and managing change, managing competing priorities and management supervision and appraisal.

Coaching offer available to all colleagues across the organisation to support with maximising potential and achievement of goals in the workplace.

Bespoke support focused on leading effective teams, including the use of Affina Team Journey.

Bitesize sessions that shine ‘A spotlight on’ key leadership topics delivered by subject matter experts from across the People Directorate.
