Benefits at work
Relocation
We may assist with costs incurred as part of a relocation should you need to move as a result of your employment.
Flexible Working
We offer a range of flexible working arrangements to support you work and home life balance. We will provide you with opportunities to develop your career through further training whilst still in employment.
Holidays and Entitlements
Your holiday entitlement starts at 27 days per year, plus 8 bank holidays. The entitlement increases once you have worked for the NHS for 5 and then 10 years. There is an option to purchase additional leave for non clinical staff. We also offer paid special leave for unexpected emergencies. We have developed a range of policies to help staff, including generous maternity, paternity, adoption, carer and special leave policies.
NHS Pension
You will automatically be enrolled on the NHS Pension scheme once you have joined the Trust. Benefits include death in service cover.
Retire and Return
An opportunity for clinically qualified professionals (e.g. nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapist) to request to retire and access your pension benefits and then return to work for a minimum of 15 hours per week (after a break in service of two weeks).
Career Breaks
We support staff to have unpaid time away from work for a variety of reasons, such as caring commitments, training, study leave or working overseas.
Staff Recognition
Our Celebrating Success recognition scheme offers a number of ways people can say thank you for a job well done. This could be a simple thank you card, a long service awards, LPFT Heroes and our annual staff
awards ceremony.
Financial
Home Electronics
This is a salary sacrifice scheme to enable you to purchase technology or home electrical items through Currys PC World. The items are subject to benefit in kind tax.
Savings and Loans
Salary deducted savings account and loans via a credit union called Transave. This option is available to assist staff in managing their finances. You can decide how much you want to save every month and
funds will be deducted by payroll and transferred to account. Typically competitive rates of interest are offered, with an annual dividend paid on savings.
Childcare
All staff can access the National Tax Free Childcare Scheme to help with the costs of childcare. You can get up to £500 every three months (£2,000 a year) for each of your children.

Travel
Free Parking
There is free parking across all 52 Trust sites. For services based on a United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust site staff will be provided for a parking permit. All work related parking fees are reimbursed.
Cycle to Work
Buy a tax free bike through Halfords Cycle2Work , to enable you to cycle to work.
Car Lease
You can get a new vehicle for both business and private use over three years. Both salary sacrifice and salary deduction schemes available.
Health and Wellbeing
Looking After Staff Wellbeing
We aim to support staff throughout their career. We recognise that staff will have unforseen additional commitments such as caring responsiblities or health issues. We have a range of policies and support processes to look after our staff wellbeing.
Eye Care Vouchers
Vouchers are available for an annual free eye test with Specsavers. Discount offers on frames for those who need glasses for computer use only.
Early Access to Psychological Therapies
Provides support to cope with stress and psychological wellbeing at work. The team will help staff with any long term conditions impacting on their work and personal life. Group programmes are available for:
- Managing stress
- Improving sleep
- Creative coping and writing
Exercise Classes
To help staff improve their phyiscal health a wide variety of exercise classes are offered. These take place in Lincoln and Sleaford. They are either free or charge a small fee. Classes include yoga, zumba, karate and street defence, exercise and pilates.
Physiotherapy, Osteopathy or Chiropractic Care
Fast access to physiotherapy services for an assessment and up to six sessions at a number of the county’s physiotherapy centres.
Development
Apprenticeships
An apprenticeship programme open to anyone interested in undertaking some additional training to develop your skills, technical knowledge or practical experience.
Training and Workshops
There are many opportunities to develop yourself within the Trust. These include a wide range of University Training available. Staff are encouraged to attend both local and professional workshops and conferences. Conference range from Research, Recovery and Physical Healthcare Conference to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT+), Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) Conference. These are either free for staff to attend or paid for by the Trust.

Coaching can help you unlock your potential and maximise your own performance. We have a number of trained coaches that you can access for support.
