Updates from our volunteers

Congratulations to Hex

Congratulations to Hex, who has recently accepted a job with the Trust as an Administrative Assistant at Witham Court.

Hex said:

“I strongly believe that volunteering on the wards has made this post achievable for me, due to all the experience I have gained over the past few months, getting to know staff and being able to familiarise myself with NHS processes, etc. So, I want to say thank you for giving me this opportunity to volunteer with the Trust. I was given amazing interview feedback, and I truly believe I couldn't have done so well without volunteering.”

New volunteer joins Ash Villa

Ash Villa has recently welcomed a new volunteer!

Connie has been busy sharing her crafting skills with patients and staff.

She said:

“I'm really enjoying volunteering. I’ve settled in and I’m feeling more comfortable. It's so nice to see how much there is for patients to take part in and how approachable and friendly all the staff have been with me.”

Activities on our wards

Our volunteers continue to support a variety of sessions at Discovery House, Witham Court, Maple Lodge and Ash Villa.
