The Trust will be hosting its six week carer mental health training programme in Gainsborough this July, free to all carers and families of people with a mental health problem in Lincolnshire.
Hosted at John Coupland Hospital in Gainsborough every Monday between 6pm and 8pm.
The six week course will cover:
- Services available and what they offer
- Understanding common conditions such as depression, anxiety, and forms of psychosis
- Explanation of legal powers used during treatment
- Patient consent and confidentiality
- Help available for carers
- Self-help and what to do in a crisis
- Other carer and patient stories
- Chance to ask health professionals questions.
