Local mental health and learning disability nurses, healthcare support workers and psychologists are among the winners of this year’s Team LPFT Values Awards at Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LPFT).
Taking place last Friday night (11 October), the thirteenth annual LPFT Values Awards was attended by 250 staff and volunteers, many of whom were shortlisted from nominations made by colleagues, service users, carers, families, and members of the public.
The ten award categories, which included everyday excellence, innovation and improvement, leading by example, and volunteer of the year, all showcased the brilliant work staff and volunteers are doing every day across Lincolnshire NHS services.
Daniel Thompson, Apprentice Social Worker and winner of the Everyday Excellence Award was delighted to be recognised for the care he provides. He said:
“I am delighted to win this award. I feel overwhelmed by the whole experience. I have been in LPFT for a few years, but I only recently qualified, so this award has really given me the confidence that my work is recognised. LPFT is full of people who do great things and I hope by winning this award, it will promote the amazing things that social workers do every day.”
Lauren Worthington commented on the success of the Core Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Service winning the Innovation and Improvement Award. She said:
“I’m really proud of all the teams in CAMHS Service and everything we have achieved. Together we support young people who are experiencing mental health difficulties across the entire County and this award is for them. We are all delighted to win.”
Trust Chair, Kevin Lockyer commented:
“It’s a privilege to be a part of the Team LPFT Values Awards. Recognising our staff and volunteers is so important. The winners, finalists and everyone who received a nomination should feel proud of their achievements as it as a reflection of the hard work and dedication they show every day.”
The event held at Lincolnshire Showground was made possible by sponsorship from Integrated Health Projects, Peachy Events, Systematic and SF Taylor.
