If you have an interest in shaping the way care is delivered across Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTS) in the south of Lincolnshire this event may be of interest to you.
We are holding an information event about delivering trauma care in our Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs) on Monday 6 June, 1pm to 2pm virtually via Microsoft Teams.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about trauma informed care delivery. We are keen to hear from those who have lived experience of being under the care of mental health services to help shape the way we deliver trauma informed care in our teams.
You may also be an individual who has an interest in trauma informed approaches, or through personal experience you may feel that your perspective will help us to shape the delivery of community mental health interventions.
What the event will include
We aim to set up a trauma stabilisation group within the south CMHTs and we plan to discuss the different evidence-based approaches that could be useful in pursuing this aim.
This event will include a description of the different models and what this could look like in practice. We also aim to discuss what other services are currently offering at present.
We plan to discuss the following approaches:
- Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TFCBT)
- Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT)
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – emphasis on cognitive reappraisal
- Research that puts forward content outline
We also plan to give an overview of current service provision in other Trusts:
- 4-week stabilisation group
- 5-week stabilisation group
We are looking for individuals to take part in a focus group to hear your views on the proposed approaches and we will give attendees more information on how they can partake in this.
How to sign up
Please email lpft.involvement@nhs.net and we will send you a Microsoft Teams link to your provided email.
Please note this is for the information event only. We will discuss further with participants how they access the focus group.
We look forward to hearing from you.
