‘Take ACTION’ for Mental Health Awareness Week

Published on: 11th May 2026

Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LPFT) is marking Mental Health Awareness Week (11–17 May) by encouraging people across the county to Take ACTION to support their own mental health and the wellbeing of those around them.

This year’s national theme — Take ACTION: For yourself. For someone else. For all of us. — highlights how small, everyday steps can protect mental health and prevent problems from escalating. Throughout the week, LPFT will be promoting simple, practical actions people can take, while raising awareness of the wide range of support available locally.

What ACTION can look like

  • A – Awareness — Ask for help early if you’re struggling.

  • C – Community — Spend time connecting with others. You can find local groups, activities and support through HAY Lincolnshire (www.haylincolnshire.co.uk).

  • T – Talk — Even a few minutes of conversation can help you feel lighter, supported and understood.

  • I – Involvement — Take part in something that gives you purpose, connection or joy.

  • O – Observe — Notice how you or others may be feeling.

  • N – Nurture — Pay attention to what supports your wellbeing and do more of it.
