National Preceptorship for Nursing Interim Quality Mark achieved

Published on: 5th September 2023

We are delighted that LPFT has been presented with the National Preceptorship for Nursing Interim Quality Mark. This mark is awarded to organisations who offer high quality Preceptorship programmes for newly qualified Registered Nurses.

The Preceptorship Programme supports staff to develop knowledge and skills to ensure they can work as confident and competent practitioners.

The main aim is to welcome and integrate newly registered practitioners into their new team and place of work, to give them the best possible start to their careers.

Kerry Woodcock, Head of Nursing, Safe Staffing and Professional Development at LPFT, said:

“Preceptorship is vitally important for the transition from student to registered practitioner as it can be a daunting time for individuals. We are thrilled that our work to support this transition has been recognised as we feel very passionate about supporting nurses in our Trust.”
