Post Diagnostic
What do we do?
We offer a short-term post diagnostic service for those who have a confirmed Autism Diagnosis. The support offered is for a time limited period and on average this would be offered over 12 appointments.
I have been referred to the post diagnostic pathway – what happens next?
The team will have received either a clinician’s checklist (this will be submitted from your autism assessor) or your self referral.
The service will initially offer 6 weeks of educational support, following this you will have a review appointment to understand if you require any further support.
What will my support look like?
Initially the team offer a 6-week course that is:
- Online for those happy to access in a group of up to 15 people including the two members of the team leading the course. Sometimes there may be a third team member present, this will usually be for training purposes.
- Online or face-to-face for those who would not be able to access group sessions, this can be offered on a one-to-one basis. There maybe a longer wait for one-to-one support.
- Coming soon the ability to watch recorded sessions weekly.
Following accessing your 6-week course, you will be given a two week period to make contact with the team should you want a review appointment. This appointment will be one of the team members who facilitated your group, and the aims of this will be to explore what has been helpful or unhelpful about the group sessions, and whether there are any further needs that you have from the team.

- If it has been identified that you do require additional support, we can offer up to an average of 6 appointments with one or more of the following areas:
- Psychology
