- Champion the need for mental health, dementia, learning disabilities and autism to be given equal parity to physical health.
- Better understand the diverse needs of our population and use this to plan to deliver care that increases access and positive outcomes for everyone in our community.
- Encourage and support a thriving community and voluntary sector, that promotes positive mental wellbeing and enables access to self-help, prevention, and recovery-focused support - reducing the need for people to access specialist services.
- Use our experience and expertise to support and train others in our community.
- Integrate care with other services where it improves access, experience and outcomes.
- Work with partners to support our service users to access a safe place to live, financial support and meaningful employment.
How we will know
- Improvement in the mental health and wellbeing of our communities, with fewer people accessing specialist services.
- Greater equity in access, outcomes, and experience for the diverse communities we support.
- People with serious mental illness, a learning disability and autistic people live well for longer.
- Fewer people die by suicide.
- Delivery of national ambitions that best support our communities.
- People are receiving care in the right place, at the right time, in the least restrictive way possible.
