Lincolnshire’s NHS mental health trust is pleased to have appointed a new Non-Executive Director to its Board.
Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation NHS Trust’s (LPFT) Council of Governors has approved Ian Orrell to the position, which involves working with the other Non-Executive Directors to ensure the strategy, vision and values of the Trust are being delivered.
Mr Orrell comes with a wealth of experience in the public sector, having worked within senior corporate leadership teams to help reshape and deliver quality frontline adult and children social care services, as well as delivering professional support services.
On top of this, Ian has over 30 years as a qualified accountant and previously held non-executive roles where he has taken partnership approaches to improve service provision.
On his appointment to an initial three-year term, Mr Orrell said: "I'm delighted to have recently been appointed to the Trust's Board.
“I know the county well and the Trust has a strong reputation for the quality of its services.
“Everyone is aware of the challenges currently facing the NHS and I'm really keen to play my part in the Trust's ambitions to meet this challenge and continue to provide the services that people across Lincolnshire need."
Mr Orrell started in his new role at the beginning of August.
LPFT Chair, Kevin Lockyer added: “Ian’s skills and experience will complement the Board well, especially his professional financial qualification and audit experience.
“He has lots of experience in helping to improve service provision within the public sector and I am looking forward to getting to work with Ian to provide the best mental health, learning disability and autism care we can to the people of Lincolnshire.”
