Spalding schools to be supported by further rollout of Mental Health Support Teams

We are pleased to share that the Mental Health Support Team in Spalding has become fully operational and has started taking referrals from the area.

Mental Health Support Teams aim to promote positive mental health for children and young people. They deliver evidence-based interventions for mild-to-moderate mental health issues, introduce or develop whole-school or college approaches, and give timely advice to school and college staff to help children and young people to get the right support and stay in education.

Our Mental Health Support Teams already provide support for children and young people in selected education settings in Lincoln, Gainsborough, Boston, Skegness, Grantham and Sleaford, and we are pleased to be able to continue the rollout of this approach into the Spalding area.

More information about the support we provide, as well as various self-help resources and workshops, can be found on our website.

Our Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) also have a podcast to promote positive mental health for children and young people. It is now available on several platforms including Spotify and Google Podcasts. In their latest podcast, the team discusses the transition from primary school into secondary school.

The #MHSTpodcast includes useful hints, tips and activities. More information on each episode can be found here.
