We are looking to develop a new online patient portal as a one-stop place for documents and communication. This is part of our ongoing work to provide as many ways as possible to support our service users and make it easier to access information about appointments, care plans and/or helpful resources.
This development will broaden online access to people’s care where they might prefer to use digital apps and receive things electronically. This does not mean that our service users will only be contacted digitally; rather, it gives them more choice around how the Trust communicates with them in the future.
We recently undertook a short online survey inviting people to share their views on what they would find most helpful, and we would like to thank everyone who took the time to respond to this. We are using this feedback to help outline what we need any future system to do, so that we can then go out and find companies that might help us develop this.
More information about the portal and how it will work will continue to be shared as things develop and once it is ready to launch.
To help us through this development, we are setting up a patient-led working group to help us look at the design, useability and promotion of the resource as it nears completion. While the survey has now closed, you can still join if you are interested in being more involved. Please contact our Involvement Team at lpft.involvement@nhs.net or call 07773 206341 for more information.
