Trust recruiting four Non-Executive Directors

Published on: 16th February 2016

We are recruiting four outstanding Non-Executive Directors to help shape our services for the future.

The successful candidates will sit on Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust’s (LPFT) Board of Directors and will be jointly responsible for setting its objectives and scrutinising its performance over the next three years.

The four new Non-Executives will commence their appointments between June and October this year.

In NHS foundation trusts Non-Executive Directors serve terms of three years and can only serve a maximum of six years ensuring regular refreshing, independent challenge and new ideas.

LPFT Chair Paul Devlin said a recent assessment of the skills, abilities and behaviours required by the board set out the calibre of candidates they require.

We are seeking four individuals to join our board, to bring support and constructive challenge, and help lead the strategic direction of the Trust.  Being a Non-Executive Director with the Trust is demanding, but very rewarding.  You have the chance to join a highly capable board that prides itself on keeping patients at the heart of its decisions.  The NHS continues to face challenges and we are no exception to these pressures.  However with a continuation of the focussed hard work on doing the very best we can for our patients and making the very best use of our resources, I am confident we will continue to lead a vibrant and successful Trust.

The appointments of Non-Executive Directors are made by the Trust’s Council of Governors, an elected body who represent service users, carers, the general public, staff and key stakeholders.

The closing date for applications is 12pm on Friday 11 March 2016.
