Co-production with carers receives national recognition

We are delighted to have once again retained our two-star Triangle of Care status for the fourth year in a row, the highest level of accreditation that can be obtained through the programme.

Developed by the Carers Trust, the Triangle of Care programme asks NHS mental health trusts to make a commitment to change the way they communicate with and include carers in decisions about the person they are supporting.

Donna Bradford, Head of Carer and Relative Experience at LPFT, said: “I’d like to thank all teams and services for their continued work in ensuring that we recognise and support carers in their vital roles.

“I am particularly proud that the Carers Trust highlighted the extensive amount of information we have available to carers, all of which has been co-produced with our Carers Council and people with lived experience who understand the needs of other carers.”

Information to support carers and relatives can be found on our website at www.lpft.nhs.uk/carers-support.
