Working in partnership with the University of Lincoln, we are currently offering two nursing apprenticeships and applications are now open for you to apply. This is a great oppotunity for you to earn, learn and have no university debt with a fulfilling career ahead of you. 

Our nursing apprenticeship degrees offer professional routes into mental health nursing through an apprenticeship route. This entails a with a mixture of on-the-job training and academiclearning in line with NMC standards.

What are the benefits?

LPFT has put into place a Nursing Apprenticeship Pathway working with this offers development opportunities to existing Healthcare Support Workers and also for external candidates interested in becoming a Registered Nurse.

It provides valuable experience whilst studying full time to achieve a degree, professional registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) and guaranteed employment as a Registered Nurse. 

It provides a balance of practical skills, high-level knowledge and experience to enable you to provide quality compassionate care to our patients.

You will work across the county on our inpatient wards and in the community – a really great balance of experience!

Nursing Associate Apprentice: Overview

This is run in association with the University of Lincoln and is a great way into nursing! Join us as a Nursing Associate Apprentice and complete a Nursing Associate Foundation Degree. The course is a full time role over a 2 year period and starts this September. 

As an Apprentice, you will be employed by LPFT and have amazing placements across the Lincolnshire health and social care system.

The weekly course timetable includes 15hrs within your host area, 15hrs at university and 7.5hrs as protected learning time. For further information on the course please have a look at the University of Lincoln's website https://www.lincoln.ac.uk/course/nurasouf

If you decide to apply for this opportunity, and are successful at interview, you would join LPFT as a Nursing Apprentice working full-time in the HCSW role until the Nursing Apprenticeship starts in September.

Upon qualification you will be promoted to a Registered Nurse (Band 5)  post within LPFT upon gaining professional registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC).

What qualifications do I need to be able to apply?

Nursing Associate Apprenticeship

Maths and English at GCSE Maths and English at grade 4 (c) or above, or equivalent Functional Skills Level 2, experience of working within health and social care, demonstrate commitment to learning and education and above all, show compassion in everything you do.

If your qualifications are from outside the UK please provide a Naric comparability statement, to demonstrate the equivalent qualification. You must be available for the whole of the two year timetable and must only take holiday when the timetable allows.

As standard you'll be required to have lived in the UK for at least 3 year or more to be entitled to apply for the apprenticeship funding. 

Registered Nurse Degree Apprentice

RNDA (Mental health) University of Lincoln 
GCSE Maths and English at grade 4 (C) (or above) or equivalent qualifications. These GCSE’s must be obtained prior to submitting an application;

and

• GCE Advanced levels: Grade BBC or, 
• International Baccalaureate: 29 points overall, or 
• BTEC Extended Diploma: Distinction, Merit, Merit or 
• Access to Higher Education Diploma: 45 level 3 credits with a minimum of 96 UCAS Tariff points.

As standard you'll be required to have lived in the UK for at least 3 year or more to be entitled to apply for the apprenticeship funding.
